We are excited to share a sneak preview of our ongoing work with BAM Construct UK at FOSS (Faculty of Social Sciences), University of Sheffield.
This unique £65 million project, to a BREEAM Outstanding design, will not only become a world-class social sciences facility, but will also be one of the first buildings in the UK to feature Ash & Lacy’s brand new range of interior products; including metal clip-in ceiling tiles, acoustic rafts and baffle systems.
The new home for the Faculty of Social Sciences will improve student learning through new collaborative teaching and social spaces, offering a wide range of disciplines under the same roof for the first time. The project incorporates a research hub, bringing together cross-cutting research centres to address key global challenges. It will also provide green space, which will be open to the public as well as students and staff, affording an enhanced local environment.
Designed by HLM Architects, the building has sustainability at its core, with ground source heat pumps maximising the opportunity created by thermal warmth, also providing summer cooling.
Look out for the official launch of our interiors product range coming very soon!
