FAQ's

What design services are provided?

Estimated power generation, bracket rail and fixings specification, optimal solar array layout, indicative 2D drawings for layout, roof system specification from purlin out to solar panel, u-value calculations, structural loading calculations.

What is the wattage of each panel type?

We offer a range from 410W-715W both Mono and Bi-Facial.

Who is approved to install Halo Solar products and systems?

A&L offer a competent installer scheme, similar to our AshGrid DuoTherm approved installers scheme which requires in-house training, accreditation and spot installation checks.

What warranty cover is provided?

Up to 15 years manufacturer and 30 year linear.

What product certification is available?

CE, MCS.

How much will it cost?

It depends on the project specification.

What are the possible energy cost savings?

You could reduce your energy bills by 70%.

What is available with DNO and how does it work?

We can assist with DNO applications where required, this is a chargeable service.

What kind of roof tops are suitable for solar installation?

Metal (standing seam and box profile including sinusoidal) and flat roofs of various build ups.

What are the long-term maintenance requirements?

This will be dependent on the projects location but typically an annual maintenance schedule is required to ensure the solar panels and associated cabling are free from damage and debris.

How will weather affect performance?

The solar modules are designed to perform even in cloudy conditions, however more harsh weather will reduce their power generation.

How will seasonal daylight hours affect output?

Please see our graph below to give an indication of this.
