U-Value Calculator

The Ashgrid U-value calculator provides an essential tool for the calculation of U-values for twin skin built-up systems to comply with Building Regulations. To calculate the U-value of a proposed system, simply select the application and the cladding manufacturer together with the type of insulation to be used. By altering the depth of the system and the bracket and purlin centres, the overall U-value for the system can be calculated.

The thermal performance of roof and wall constructions utilising an Ashgrid spacer support system have been calculated to take into account the effects of two and three dimensional heat flow by using computer software to model the Ashgrid system.
