Ash & Lacy Golf Day 2011

 

The 2011 Ash & Lacy Golf Day was held on Thursday May 19th at the picturesque Forest of Arden Golf course, where we were truly blessed with the weather.

It was a glorious day, and 35 golfers took part.

In some areas, the standard of golf was excellent, with some good individual performances.

The individual prize was won again, by Darren Forbes of Britmet Tileform, and the team he was in came second overall.

The team award went to Les Warnaby, Mark Pickard and Andy Murphy of MGM Roofing, by one point. In fact, four points separated the first four teams!

Longest drive was won by John Lancaster of Speedclad. Steve Darlington of Ash & Lacy won the ‘Nearest the Pin’ award.

The Arden course was in perfect condition, with beautifully manicured greens, which proved to be extremely fast. Everyone managed to avoid the deer grazing on the 11th Fairway, and the water on 18th proved a particularly damp finale for some.
