Ash
& Lacy are using their stand (Stand No. AP 16) in the Architects
Pavilion at Interbuild 2004 to launch a new Halter for their Ashzip
Standing Seam Roofing System.
The new Halter was developed by Ash & Lacy in response to the
impending changes to the Building Regulations as they continue to
address the environmental consequences of construction projects.
With the focus very much on methods of conserving energy, the amendments
relate to the amount of heat loss allowable through a roofing structure.
With the new values applying to all roofs, Ash & Lacy developed
a Halter which was significantly more efficient in terms of heat
loss, while retaining the strength, high durability and ease of
installation characteristics so important to standing seam roofing
systems.
The Halter (patent pending) is now available exclusively for use
with Ash & Lacy's standing seam roofing envelope system, removing
the need for the conventional bar and bracket method which requires
significantly more aluminium than the new Halter.
Technical Manager of Ash & Lacy comments – We
anticipate that the amends to the Building Regulations will come
into force towards the end of the year so as part of our commitment
to research and development, we felt it was important to get ahead
of the game and introduce this new Halter as soon as possible. It
has been 18 months in development, using the latest in CAD and 3-D
modelling technology, and will prove a significant addition to our
range.
The Halter is available in various heights to achieve current and
future Building Regulation requirements, with arrows on the base
to ensure correct positioning.
