Leading roofing and cladding systems manufacturer Ash & Lacy have added a range of bi-metal stainless steel self-drilling fasteners to their widely acclaimed Ashfix range. The new Ashfix Bi-Metal 304 range offers specifiers and contractors a quality solution with a competitive edge that will address the significant cost premiums usually associated with this type of product. Designed in partnership with an ISO 9001 approved manufacturer, all fasteners are produced to Ash & Lacy specifications following stringent quality control procedures. To ensure complete customer satisfaction all fasteners undergo secondary testing procedures at the newly built testing laboratory at Ash & Lacy's West Bromwich site.
The introduction of the Ashfix Bi-Metal range positions Ash & Lacy as a key supplier of fasteners offering a complete range of solutions. Available in two head forms covering roof, wall, composite and rooflight applications, the drill points offered include light section and heavy section steel, stitchers and fasteners for timber. Manufactured from 304 grade austenitic stainless steel with a fusion welded carbon steel drill point, the new Ashfix range offers comparable quality and performance in terms of drill speed, pull out, shear strength and corrosion resistance to other leading brands. Designed to comply with BS5427 and the performance requirements of new Building Regulations, all fasteners are available with Grade 66 UV stabilised integral colour heads for improved aesthetics and life expectancy. To ensure that the tightest of delivery deadlines are met, extensive stock levels are held at Ash & Lacy branches throughout the UK.
Commenting on the latest product development by Ash & Lacy, Bryan Carey, Managing Director said:
"By taking advantage of the manufacturing skills and production costs in the Far East we are able to offer our customers the most cost-effective range of bi-metal fastener solutions available in the UK. By choosing this particular route to market our customers not only benefit from lower prices but also have the peace of mind that every product has been through a number of extensive testing procedures."
