Curved Roofs With a Full Height Halter Bracket

Creating a curved standing seam roof without the use of a secondary support system has always proved problematic. This is because when the standing seam top sheet is pre-curved or site-flexed the pan of the sheet flexes causing the side laps of the sheet to also flex outwards thereby increasing the cover width of the sheet by up to 8 mm. This increase in cover width means that if a full height halter was used it wouldn’t fit the module of the liner sheet making setting out problematical.
Ash & Lacy have made significant developments in the design of the Ashzip standing seam top sheet profile, which ensures that it maintains its cover width when it is pre-curved or site flexed. This means that a full height halter bracket can be used on curved roofs at 400mm centres with a standard 200mm liner profile. This makes installation as quick and simple as when using straight sheets.
