Ash & Lacy has been associated with the roofing and cladding industry since 1864 and its philosophy has always been centered on providing the industry with innovative construction solutions which have been at the forefront since the early 1990's when the UK's first over-roof conversion system was launched. This was followed closely by an extensive range of building components and bespoke accessories that showcase Ash & Lacy's manufacturing and metal fabrication skills which are second to none. With a rainscreen cladding system added to the product range, followed in 2003 by a standing seam roofing system. Ash & Lacy Building Systems continue to add value to the metal envelope package. Experienced Installer Network
Ash & Lacy products* are installed by nationwide network of experienced installers who work in partnership with Ash & Lacy. Prior to installing Ash & Lacy products, all contractors have to successfully complete a training course at Ash & Lacy's West Bromwich head quarters. This ensures that all Ash & Lacy systems are installed in accordance with the Company's stringent code of practice and performance is monitored on an ongoing basis to ensure standards are consistently maintained.

Hill & Smith Holdings PLC
Ash & Lacy is a division of Hill & Smith Holdings PLC, a construction and building products company serving strong markets in construction, transport infrastructure & building products. With a turnover in excess of £250m in 2005 and over 2000 employees it is one of the largest suppliers of galvanized steel product in the UK. In recent years, the Group has built an enviable position in the market for supplying such products as safety barriers, street lighting columns, motorway gantry systems and reinforcing products.

International Presence

Ash & Lacy products are manufactured from steel and aluminium, which are completely recyclable at the end of the building's life and are procured from recyclable sources. Apart from water, aluminium is the most recycled material on the planet and forms the basis for Ash & Lacy's core rainscreen, standing seam and architectural fabrications product ranges.

Ash & Lacy Green Roof Development
Ash & Lacy are actively involved in the development of green roof applications in conjunction with the Ashzip standing seam roofing system. Renowned for their many environmental benefits green roofs incorporating standing seam systems are growing in popularity as the risk of water ingress in minimised through the absence of any side or end laps.
